​T.E.A.M. = Teaching Everyone About Mercy
Pope Francis has announced the Jubilee Year of Mercy from December 8,2015 to November 20, 2016, Solemnity of Christ the King. It is an invitation for us “to rediscover and make fruitful the mercy of God.”
The Gospel of today is inviting us to practice one of the many faces of mercy, that is forgiveness. Remember what Pope Francis said in The Joy of the Gospel: “God never get tired of forgiving us, we are the one who get tired of asking forgiveness from Him.” God is the Father who open his arms to welcome us.
How about us, who are those people in our life who need forgiveness or who need to be forgiven? “Be merciful like the Father!”  May this be an Inspiration for us as we journey together towards the Father’s kingdom.
Let us work and live together as a TEAM!
Let’s have C.O.F.F.E.E!  Christ Offers Forgiveness For Everyone Everywhere

HOLY TRINITY PARISH MASS - 10AM SUNDAY 18th September
AT ST PATRICK’S COLLEGE HALL
Mark the date in your diary as we come together to celebrate Sunday Mass together
at St Patrick’s College Hall.  This will be a normal Sunday Mass for everyone to celebrate together. For those unable to be at this Mass, there will be the 5.30pm Vigil at St Patrick’s Church. We will be having morning tea afterwards at the back of the hall, so please bring a plate of food to share.
PLEASE NOTE: parking is available on the street or drive down the South side of the hall round to the back.

St Vincent de Paul Society Annual Feast Day Mass.  
Parishioners in our Kilbirnie, Miramar, Seatoun and Strathmore communities of Holy Trinity Parish are warmly invited to join your local St Vincent de Paul Society members and Vincentians from the Wellington Area and our colleges, for the annual Feast Day Mass in St. Anthony's Church, Seatoun, at 7pm on Thursday, 22 September 2016.   The Mass to be celebrated by Fr Ephrem honours our Patron Saint and prays for all Vincentians, our clients, and you our kind supporters.  Supper after.  Contact persons are Brendan Quirk ph 3889708, and Margaret Bearsley ph 977 2759 .

YOUTH COORDIATION TEAM
The parish is in the process of establishing a Youth Ministry and is seeking to identify a small group of volunteers to assist in both the establishment and organisation of this most important function. We are currently in the process of identifying and employing a Youth Pastoral Worker in a 20 hour paid role to lead youth activities within our Parish. The role of volunteers in the Youth Coordination Team is to set guidelines, tasks and scope to both the Youth Pastoral Worker and the members of the Youth Ministry. Responsibility for the employment function lives with the Parish Priest and the accountability is through the Parish Pastoral Council. Ideally we are looking for parishioners or other like-minded Christian members for this Youth Coordination Team. Youth is the future of our parish and if you can help or if you know of someone suitable who may be able to help the parish run a successful Youth Ministry then please contact Fr Ephrem or a member of the Parish Council for further details.   

MORNING TEA FUNDRAISER FOR DR SWEE TAN OF GILLES MCINDOE RESEARCH INSTITUE

Healing Service with Fr John Rea to be held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral on Thursday 22 September beginning at 7.30 pm.  This is to be an ecumenical service.  Everyone is invited.  Please bring those who need Jesus` healing.

Children’s Liturgy Workshop: Teresa Wackrow from the Auckland Diocesan Liturgy Office, and Fr. Patrick Bridgman, Wellington Diocesan Liturgy Advisor are running a Children’s Liturgy formation workshop from 7.00-9.00pm on Thursday 20th October at Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church, Johnsonville.  The workshop is aimed at people alredy involved in children’s liturgy and anyone interested in becoming involved.  Teresa & Fr. Patrick promise a fun, interactive and informative evening, looking at children’s liturgy guidelines, resources and an opportunity to answer your questions. 2016 ADW Young Catholic Leader programme will again be held at Forest Lakes Camp Otaki and will run between Saturday Dec 10 – Wedsnesday Dec 14.
The cost is $180 per student (incl GST) which includes accommodation, meals sessions, required materials and session manual. Registrations close Friday 18th November 2016. This major event for the parish of Our Lady of Kapiti is on again. This is run as a fundraiser for the Presentation Sisters mission work in Papua-New Guinea, Chile and Peru , and is a part of our social justice commitment. See the notice at the back of the Church.
