Christianity is a reality that can be felt by every individual who avails oneself to the powerful presence of God in the world, particularly in the Church. In fact, it is only through the actual presence of God that one is expected to bring out the desired fruits of true Christian life. Without God experience it is impossible to produce fruits in our lives. God’s presence and our cooperation with Him will produce the fruits which our Gospel is talking about today.
The risk for the Christians today is that we see the parables something a past thing because it so clearly refers to Jews and Christian of the first century. We forget that it is not only in the past, but today also it is equally relevant for us. The word of god is the same. It never changes. But it influences and helps us to change ourselves according to the will of God. And these changes we call the fruits of the Holy Spirit. The master wants to see these fruits more and more in our lives. Our God is a God who trusts in us. He provides us with opportunities and resources and trusts that we will make the most of these. So let us think and meditate this week in what way we can produce good fruits that pleases our God who trusts so much in us. Have a fruitful week end.
