CHILDREN’S SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMME 2016
Children turning 8 during 2016 or older, who would like to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion, are eligible to enrol. Information and enrolment forms are available in the church foyers, from the School Offices or from the Holy Trinity Parish Office. All enrolment forms need to be completed before Monday 14th December, 2015 and either returned to the St Patrick’s, Holy Cross, or St Anthony’s School Offices or to the Holy Trinity Parish Office in Miramar.

At St Anthony’s and Holy Cross, there are named copies available from the back of the church. Monthly Mass at Holy Cross School Hall will resume again in February 2016. Details to follow in due course.
Holy Cross Happy Hour. Seniors are reminded of the next meeting in the Parish Centre on Wednesday 2nd December. This will be our Christmas lunch, so meet in the Parish Centre at 11.30am and lunch served at noon. Please bring a small plate of food to eat with tea/coffee. Thank you. Margaret 388 2840

St Anthony's Playgroup is looking for a volunteer coordinator for two hours a week during term time starting next year to assist with the running of the playgroup. The Year of Mercy begins on December 8,
the Patronal Feast Day of the Archdiocese.
Cardinal Dew will be presiding at the Opening Mass during which the New Mercy Doors in the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Thorndon, will be thrown open. The Archdiocese will be re-dedicated to Mary. Food and refreshments are available after Mass. All are welcome.
A reflection booklet "Merciful like the Father" has been produced for individual and or group use. Parishes are asked to contact Tania Halliday [email protected] 496 1719 to order copies.
During the course of the year, parishes are invited to undertake a special Mercy pilgrimage. A resource pack, with suggestions, ideas and logistical check lists, will be made available in the New Year to assist parishes with planning these events.

Christmas Emergency Food Appeal. St Vincent de Paul Society Seatoun & Miramar Conference is organising food parcels to be delivered to over 50 most needy families in the area on Friday 18 December 2015. Parishioners are invited to donate items of food and basic essentials, or put together a hamper for a needy family. A 'flyer' will be distributed at this Sunday's Masses in Holy Cross and St Anthony's Churches with ideas for donated items to be placed in the sign-posted boxes in the Church foyers.
